The Eftalou Yoga Hall building project in Molivos on the Greek island of Lesvos is back underway avter a winter break.  Detlef has sent new pictures showing the progress.  For comparison, you can look the pictures from last month and the previous pictures of the final excavation showing the ancient walls and where the coins and pottery shards were found.

The Yoga Hall entrance way and the start of the top floor

Hello, and Happy New Year to everybody !
The winter break on the building site in Eftalou was longer than we expected. We had extreme wet and cold weather for about 6 weeks and even heavy snowfall 4 times. The last time is just one week ago, and the snow in Athens was mounting up to 3 foot in height. Here we just had about 8 to 12 inches but temperature was declining to about 20 degree Fahrenheit some nights. Such a strong winter we have not experienced here for ages.

Well, now it seems to get better and the sun is warming us up again. In Eftalou we started with many workers to continue the construction of the Yoga centre. Everybody is desperate to get creative again. The concrete skeleton of the top floor is completed . The bricklayers have started to erect the walls on the top flour level. Two days ago we also started to prepare the wooden construction for the terra cotta tile roof.

Hopefully the weather will stay nice for some time now – if so, we will progress fast now, and I will be able to send more photos soon – showing the yoga centre with it’s new roof….

The 2004 Workshops have begun
Angela sent a note with a few pictures from the Sidney, BC workshop: "I don't think the photos need titles, the faces are fun
and speak for themselves!"

For the full schedule of the 2004 Workshops see the Workshops page.

Victor's Tea
At the Chapel Hill workshop last year, as he has done often in his travels, Victor brewed up his tea for the participants. Several people asked for the recipe. Here it is.

THE LOTTERY!!!
On the last day of our 2003 Ohio Yellow Springs workshop, we held the draw for a free course in Molivos, Greece. The Yellow Springs Lottery raised $5300 for the Yoga Hall Construction.
So we are doing it again to give more people a chance to support the Yoga Hall in Eftalou and to perhaps win free tuition for a three week yoga workshop with Angela and Victor on the island of Lesvos in Greece.
You can make a contribution and enter the new lottery by mailing a check for $100 to Patricia at the address at the bottom of this page.
"And the winner is ...Shannon Mc Cord"
All proceeds from the raffle go to the building fund for the new yoga hall. We raised $5300! and are grateful to every person who entered for helping to make the dream come true!

Yoga Poetry
Angela has sent a poem from the Harbin workshop. A tall guy with wild hair and an infectious smile handed me two pieces of paper at the Chapel Hill workshop. And then there is the Ohio Poem from Yellow Springs several years back. Take a look...

Victor's New Notebook
As the Yoga Hall is underway, more good news is coming on Victor's third Yoga notebook. Ganesha Press, has told us that the book is now back from the printer and ON SALE now. These notebooks are from the teachings of Angela and Victor.  See more information about all three of the books in Victor's Yoga Notebook Trilogy

Background on the Yoga Hall:
Angela and Victor have purchased just over an acre of land on the island of Lesvos, Greece and have started construction on a yoga hall. You can look the pictures from last month and the previous pictures of the final excavation showing the ancient walls and where the coins and pottery shards were found. Victor has been sending original water colors in appreciation to the support people are giving in this project.

The Yoga Hall on Lesvos will be a place where many future yogis will be able to go to explore and expand their practice, as well as a home base for Angela and Victor.

Donations, pre-purchases of the Molivos Workshop on Lesvos, selections from Victor's Gallery 1 or Gallery 2, or just contributions from your overflow would be welcome.
